Certificate in Interactive Marketing and Online Advertising

The Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada (IAB) is pleased to announce the continuation of an exciting joint venture with the Division of Continuing Education, Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies, York University. A non-degree credit Certificate in Interactive Marketing and Online Advertising will continue to be offered in 2005. The approach combines the experience and expertise of Canada's leading online publishers, agencies and advertisers with York University's world-class education and training capabilities.

Dawna Henderson, President of Henderson bas, which recently triumphed at the 2004 Online Marketing Awards, is leading this initiative for the IAB, and Brent Lowe Bernie, Chair of the IAB, says, "this is an exciting development for the IAB, and has set the standard of excellence in education around Interactive Marketing and Advertising planning and execution."

The current roster of students ranges from communications managers and agency personnel to entrepreneurs. Julie Kwiecinski of ATI Technologies Inc., and a student in the September offering, says, "I found the York/IAB course to be comprehensive, well-researched and well-structured. It has given me a contextual point of reference in regards to the interactive advertising landscape. The instructor's hands-on approach to teaching has equipped me with the skills to help me with both my present and future career endeavors."

Gregg Locke, another student, says, "The course is very current to the Canadian online environment. The instructor's data is extensive widely-sourced and up-to-date. I am positive that employers, both on the client as well as agency sides, will see this as a distinguishing asset."

Classes for the second offering begin February 14, 2005 and are taught in downtown Toronto, at the Globe and Mail Building (444 Front St. W., just west of Spadina Avenue).

IAB members who register now, will receive a 10 percent discount on the Program Tuition. For more detailed information about this exciting opportunity, please visit the Program Website at www.iabcourse.yorku.ca.
